Childrens Beginner Sewing

The Sewing Institutes childrens program promises to be a non-competitive fun-filled experience for children 7 and up. Students will be introduced to concepts of color and style, they will learn how to fully operate a sewing machine, proper usage of sewing related tools and safety as well as learn valuable social skills as they interact with their peers. This program is structured to produce 3-4 projects within a 10 hour course.

Adult Sewing 101

This class is geared for the first time sewing student or someone who has perhaps has not sewn since high school. As you make your garment you will learn fundamentals that are applicable to all facets of sewing. This class focuses on the following techniques: How to take proper measurements, pattern fitting, pattern layout, and fabric and notion selection. Fitting techniques, sewing machine operation, garment construction, and finishing techniques.
