Lynne Blanks, the owner/operator and Director of Education at The Sewing Institute,
has an extensive sewing background. She began making doll clothing at the age of six, and further developed her skills during
summers spent with her grandmother. In high school elective classes, Lynne studied clothing construction, tailoring, and industrial

construction, grading, and drafting patterns from concept to completion. In addition to her experience in the garment industry,
Lynne has 30+ years of experience teaching, training, and directing educational programs. For several years, she was the Director
